  EDF! EDF! EDF!<br><br>Thanks for putting the time and effort into this retrospective, it was a really enjoyable watch. My wife and I have been playing the series since Global Defence Force on the PS2, which was a random buy off a market stall.<br><br>Since then we&apos;ve been there for the best and worst (Insect Armageddon) of the series, being joined by a friend of ours from EDF4.1 for online coop fun. We had one other friend join us for part of EDF4.1, but after 3 missions he basically went &apos;this is shit&apos;, and bailed. The games aren&apos;t for everyone.<br><br>The points you mentioned about IA were spot on, but our biggest disappointment was that the game just...ends. There&apos;s no wrap up for the story or anything, it just feels completely unfinished.<br><br>The three of us are currently playing through EDF6, and I think it&apos;ll keep us busy for a while. I&apos;ve been maining Wing Diver since 4.1, with my wife playing as Ranger and our coop buddy playing Air Raider.

  I have been told that EDF series is a universe where &quot;everyone eats glue, including the aliens. You would think that with time travel there would be a plot point to get humanity to stop eating glue. Instead, your mission will be to eat all of the glue to keep the aliens from enjoying any of it.&quot;

  Shout out Storm 1, a soldier who became a legend. Who beat God, got a 2nd game, got sent back in time, and beat God&apos;s ass a second time. Absolute cinema

  The fact that the story is barely mentioned hurts my soul 😭. Its so peak in my opinion especially 5 and 6

  The little noise that plays whenever you pick a box up is wired so deep in my brain I&apos;m pretty sure they&apos;re never going to change it for fear of being torn limb from limb by crazed fans.

  I was also introduced to EDF with 2017.<br><br>I didn&apos;t even know that it existed. I literally was looking around my GameStop with the allowance money my mother gave me as a child and I saw EDF 2017 in the bargain section.<br><br>Been hooked ever since

  I just got into this series with EDF 5 and my mind is blown. One of the best games I have ever played and I have been gaming since the 80’s.
