  I swear, whoever came up with the idea of the humanoid enemies and how they work deserves a huge raise because they are so fun to fight.

  Want to praise humanoid aliens&apos; AI specifically - it&apos;s surprisingly smart. Of course insect cannon fodder just rush head-on, but humanoid aliens are quite good at covering, suppressing and flanking. Was positively shocked first time when I was hiding behind the building on low hp and two cosmonauts has split to flank me from both sides simultaneously, so I could meet only one of them.

  i think a decent compromise for the loss of items would be that you lose weapon drops, but not armor drops when you lose. that way you can still make gains in hp when playing inferno (arguably the most important aspect when picking things up).<br><br>as far as the dlc packs, they were free on release for a while, which was nice, but also, the missions were meant almost exclusively for the &quot;chaos&quot; junkies.

  If I recall correctly, one of the dialogue lines alluded to some powerful people who saw ancient descriptions of the aliens and thought it enough to be a threat and created the EDF. The aliens noticed that the native species(humans) were prepping so started their invasion early.

  Glad to see more EDF 5 content. I hope EDF 6 isn&apos;t too far off. I wish my friends would appreciate the greatness of this series.

  Those lines were directed at the frog aliens, but I think they&apos;re leftovers from an earlier version of the story where humans (or rather, giant humans) had been brainwashed. My guess is that they changed the plot because having human characters lose their limbs was considered too gruesome.

  It is kinda funny hearing him talk about the Primers&apos; respect for the EDF before they&apos;ve even faced an invasion before, knowing how things play out during EDF 6.
