  I am a music producer, so I know a bit about digital audio and spectrograms!<br><br>The eye on the spectrogram is an illusion. If you pay attention, there&apos;s a &quot;mirror line&quot; at the upper part of the spectrogram (10k mark) that mirrors a bit of the frequencies below. This mirroring is very probably an artifact of stretching the audio. The method you used in FL Studio for stretching didn&apos;t generate this artifact. Also, this mirroring is present all throughout the sound file, it&apos;s not unique to the &quot;eye&quot;. I believe this &quot;eye&quot;, unfortunately, is an accident.<br><br>Note: maybe you already know this, but in FL Studio you can change the method of stretching by clicking the &quot;Mode&quot; dropdown on the &quot;Time Stretching&quot; panel.<br><br>Another note: the upper side of the mirroring is more squished because Audacity&apos;s spectrogram is not linear (making it appear more like the eye). 10k+ frequencies are less important because they are less distinguishable for humans.<br><br>Another one: is it just me or the &quot;scar&quot;, when sped up, sounds a bit like a human &quot;ugh&quot; noise?

  Considering every sound in mus_smile contains &quot;hurt&quot; in the title, and most of the really important monsters SMILE during their death in the genocide run, mus_smile could be interpreted as death or pain itself being put into sound. If you really want to be morbid, perhaps this is what you hear at all times during your death or in the afterlife for these characters. Note this sound&apos;s connection to Gaster. A character who went through a horrifying, likely painful death that shattered him accross time and space. Perhaps mus_smile, if not the sound everyone hears during their death, was specifically the sound of Gaster being ripped apart by the core, screaming where his voice could not be heard, and in twisted irony, his smile, the same smile everyone wears as they die, was then used as the title for for the sounds of his demise.

  People have already said this i think but the &quot;scar&quot; sound sped up really does sound exactly like the Rip and Tear stock sound in RPGMaker. SPECIFICALLY it sounds almost exactly like the one used in OFF whenever you damage something. OFF which (from tobys own mouth in the undertale art book) served as a big inspiration for undertale. It absolutely would not surprise if the shitposting fuck known as Toby Fox was just fucking around with stock sounds and picked up the most frequent stock sound you hear throughout the entirety of OFF, threw it into an audio program, and noticed that it slowed down sounded like hellish moans and threw it in his creepypasta hidden track.
