Sorry to be the one to have to tell you this, but John Doe is used as a generic-o name for unidentified or unidentifiable bodies found dead but still needing to be processed with documentation, such as for a coroner’s examination or within a police investigation. The name John Doe is used to refer to the deceased until he is able to be positively identified as a currently missing person or similarly documented individual via fingerprints, ID cards, etc. They often also use Jane Doe as a name for similarly unidentified female bodies.

ASYNC uses this term because as of the point in the timeline where they bring the corpse in to investigate, they have no idea who he could possibly be, or even if he is an actual earth-based human. The organisation as a whole may not yet be aware at that point that people can even accidentally fall into the Backrooms.

The original horror of the backrooms boils down to the question: "Which is more terrifying, the realization that you're alone, or the realization that you aren't."

This is why the SCP wiki is so heavily moderated. I'm all for creative freedom but sometimes working within limitations is the best option.

Kane’s work is what I consider the “true canon” of the Backrooms because it sticks the most to what we had from the original post about it. Hell, he’s getting to make The Backrooms movie! And you have done a lot of justice in your analysis.

I appreciate this series for having ASYNC not be obviously evil, I feel it has ended up a bit overused and cliche in horror media where any organizations, companies, or the government are malicious

An aspect I love of Kane's Backrooms is that it has very little problem replicating the non-living but the moment it touches organic life, it starts to fuck up really badly. I think the reason the whole place is rotting in spots is because of the simplest of organic lifeforms: bacteria. Not the monster, the actual thing in the air.

The Backrooms replicated the many molecules and bacteria in the real world, into multiple sections of enclosed spaces that not all are properly ventilated, even duplicating water which would cause humidity and you have a recipe for black mold. Except it's multiplied by the very nature of the Backrooms to an extreme degree.
There is something similar in our world that grows at a rapid rate by mitosis (duplication of cells) that is nefarious while not being outright rejected by the body: cancer cells. Kane's Backrooms are a cancerous tumor to the Earth of the story, badly copying functions of the planet while eating away at it.

A-Sync create a M.C. Hesher-esque dimensional cancer and I wouldn't be surprised if the future of the series is close to a silent apocalypse, where there is no monster, no rapture.Just space-time fractures eating up the world until there is none left to record it or stop it.

Utter silence is all that would be left. Pure Liminality.

The Backrooms to me is like the being stuck in the desert without food, water and guides.
.
A sort of "you are already dead, just see how far you can get" fate.

My theory is that the backrooms is like an asset library for a video game, so instead of the backrooms copying reality, I think reality mimics it with a bit of guidance

Them wearing suits is not suspicious. It's a realistic thing to do. After all, they don't know if there's any foreign material or bacteria in there, and they don't plan to find out. That paranoia is made worse by the fact that bodies apparently don't decompose properly in the Backrooms.

Also, Imma be real with you, these videos are actually really good. They delve deep into the subject you're discussing, you include the more obscure pieces of work pertaining to it as to not miss any information, you provide your thoughts and theories, you include enough jokes to be interesting but not so much to be overdone, and you describe everything so you don't have to watch. I listen to these at work, and it's what makes a ten hour night feel like six hours. The only thing I think can be reasonably improved is mic quality, but that's not really an issue at all and is more a luxury. 10 out of 10 dude.

Can I just point out the foreshadowing of "you wouldn't want to be at the end of any gun, Mark," and he being well, you know. Its just amazing
