So dumb, even just writing it, but it’s the reality. Being called cold just because I am not reactive. Just because I know where to allocate my energy. Being called passionless just because I don’t accept certain behaviors in arguments and discussions. No thank you, I’d rather be composed and regulated, and happy to look at myself in the mirror the next day than exercise toxicity in the name of passion. The culture clash is sometimes very real.

  I got sucked in to a co-worker&apos;s drama...saw her in the bathroom at work, asked if she was ok and the floodgates let go. Then I had a few days off worried about how to fix all her considerable issues. Well it actually turned out literally everyone knew about all this stuff and it was basically just another Tuesday. I had given her an option for a good short term fix- but it involved her actually DOING something for herself, so didn&apos;t happen. I swear never again. Other people are adults, if they are over 30 they can figure it out themselves. I&apos;ll nod sympathetically but it&apos;s not my freaking issue.<br>I&apos;m not going to be totally icy, but definitely strengthen my walls.

  I work at a bookstore in the US and we just got a shipment of Unbothered. It’s hiding in my locker until my paycheck comes &nbsp;because NO WAY IN HELL am I letting it get sold out without a copy!! 😂 love you margarita!

  I shouldn’t even be saying this publicly. A few weeks ago, I was stuck in a one-sided situationship, constantly overthinking every text, rereading convos, spiraling over “what did I do wrong?” Then I found Make him dangerously obsessed by Zella Hurn, and it hit like a truck. The content felt dark, almost like psychological warfare wrapped in red lipstick. She doesn’t teach you how to be loved. She teaches you how to be missed, craved, worshipped. I made a few tiny shifts, and the guy who once made me feel invisible is now terrified of losing me. I don’t chase anymore. I choose. Every woman needs to read this at least once just to know what real power feels like.

  I so agree with this !!!!! My mom is Eastern European and my dad is Native American. Being ‘stoic’ or an ‘ice queen’ is not about being a cold person - it’s about saving your energy 💯. Now at 40, I feel completely assured in this approach. Between raising a family, being on top of finances, and returning to the working world - I literally cannot make time for things or people that have no return or benefit. It’s the non-reciprocal friendships, the toxic bosses or people that try to poke or get a rise out of you. Nope. I am the terminator. You will not deflect or derail my mission. Denied.
