  Wonderful interviewer who asks excellent questions that we'd like to hear the answers to. Nothing silly or irrelevant. Rubinstein had a life I envy, and he was so happy and contented.

  Rubinstein was the complete urbane artist and human being. His insights into art and life were passionately expressed, yet measured and intelligent at the same time. These qualities came out in his heartfelt performances, and audiences related to his unconditional fervour and delight in living and sharing great music. <br>Rubinstein was a fascinating talker in several languages. As a young man, he lived at a time when European arts went through a huge transition, as he says he fought for new music he considered to be worthy and exciting. To conclude, he was a man of great positivity who loved the beautiful and life-enhancing qualities of great art, be they visual or in literature and music.

  Both these men are impressive. But Levin, creditably, gives Rubinstein space to shine through.

  He has beautiful English, and I’ve heard him speaking French, German and Russian and presumably Polish. is he pronouncing his birth city Łódź in an English way for the viewers? (Because I thought the first letter had a W sound)
