  You go gor the experience.   Price be dammed.... I have snuck in jack Daniel's to mix with ny over priced but highly valued coke.  Always buy popcorn.   I know how the business works and understand that if people like me didnt buy that popcorn we wouldn't have a theater to go to at all.

  It's similar with concerts.  Even if you can get a cheap ticket, they more than make up for it in other ways.  Just went to one recently, $70 for 4 bands, great deal seemingly, then it was $20 to park, $20 per beer, and food in the $15-25 range.  Parking, 3 beers and a hot dog me cost more than the ticket.  Of course they also took credit card only, and on the payment screen they actually had the nerve to ask for a 20% tip for someone at a counter grabbing a can out of a fridge and handing it to me.  I don't think so.  For a movie that's an hour and a half I can live without eating or drinking anything.  For a 5 hour outdoor concert in the summer it's a little harder to just stand there with nothing 😂
