Rip their heart out will be a metaphor the show explores. There’s more ways to do that than physical. Heart could be what the man hunter cares about. Rip it out and they’ll expose themselves.

I have a test that will find the manhunters outright without these games. I call them ticks like for a clock. Think of Equalizer clock scan scene and recognize that its a tactical analysis of behavioral structure only aligned with a person who has existed in a place for a given range of time so it detects GPS over time structure embedded in the behaviors of a person regardless where they are in the present.

Hal knew Gutierrez wasn't the manhunter; it was a bluff.<br>Same when he was talking with John about Macon. He knew Gutierrez probably doesn't have correct info cuz why would the manhunter ever reveal their identity to a lackey? It was another bluff. He was testing whether John would tell him the truth or not.
