  I actually had a salesman charge me a $1000 deposit to test drive a used Camaro but would wave it IF MY HUSBAND came in to test drive it. Yes, I paid it and documented EVERYTHING because they offered a cheaper price IF MY HUSBAND came in to buy it. Yes I filed a suit against them and we ended up settling out of court.

  I just got approved for a 5.5% rate at my credit union. I went in Avis Car Sales and wanted to drive a car. When they tried to get me to fill out an application and I mentioned I had already been approved at my credit union. They then told me that Avis no longer took outside financing. I literally said &quot;You mean I can&apos;t bring you a cashier&apos;s check for the total amount and walk away with the car?&quot; Their answer was &quot;no, just can&apos;t do it.&quot; So, I got up, turned around, walked out.

  I once had a dealer ask for my drivers license to take the car for a test drive. &nbsp;I went for the test drive and decided against the car. &nbsp;Just didn’t feel right for me. &nbsp;The salesman wouldn’t return my drivers license. &nbsp;Felt like I was being held hostage. &nbsp;I took out my cell phone and told him if I didn’t get my license back in 3 minutes I would call the police. &nbsp;I got my license back. &nbsp;Hate the games.

  My wife went to a Toyota dealer to look at buying a car. &nbsp;For some reason, the salesman insisted that I be there. &nbsp;My wife said, &quot;He&apos;s not buying this car, I am.&quot; &nbsp;The salesman insisted and my wife thanked him for his time and went to another Toyota dealer about 20 miles further out and got the car she wanted, &nbsp;no husband needed. &nbsp;Sometimes these dealers are delusional.

  I haven’t bought a car in 16 years. The dealership that posted up with the reconditioning fee, I literally said “No. No. The advertised price is the price. This is a racket.” And I walked out. I appreciate hearing I did the right thing!
