  Last time I was at a dealership, I was trying to get the salesman to give me the OTD price. He was stonewalling (much like in your video). So I stood up and asked him to follow me. He looked very confused, but I just said “humor me”. So he got up and followed me. I took him over to the waiting area in the service department. There was a soda machine in there. I walked over to it and asked him how much a soda was. He looked at the sign on the machine and he said $2. I said “See how easy that was?” He burst out laughing, and said “OK you got me!” It was downhill from there!👍

  Bought a 2025 Subaru Forester and they tried to raise the price by $2200 because I was paying cash.  Told them to keep their car as I didn’t need to buy anything that day.  Since I was ready to walk, they dropped that scam.

  I recently purchased a used vehicle at a used car lot. When I asked for the price, they printed the &quot;Out The Door&quot; price with all the taxes. They didn&apos;t even try to sell an extended warranty. The whole process took less than 10 minutes. <br><br>Because they were honest and not playing games, I purchased the vehicle. Instead of high pressure tactics and wasting my time, a used car lot might be a better solution.

  Great video. &nbsp;A Rock Hill, SC Honda deal pulled that trick at signing. I had the deal for a 2026 Honda Civic Hatchback Hybrid set for $29.800 (tax, title, and tag not included). I had my check in hand, ready to sign, when the manager walked in and said the price was based on financing the car. It was the first time I had heard of it. I tore up my check and walked out.

  I was ready to buy a car when the salesman brought me into the finance guy. &nbsp;I said, &quot;My bank has pre-approved me. If you can beat their rate, I&apos;ll finance with you.&quot; &nbsp;He looked at the bank &nbsp;letter and sadly shook his head. I said, ok, I&apos;m ready to write the check. What amount, exactly? He listed a group of add on purchases, extended warranties, ceramic coating on the paint, etc. I said, &quot;Wild horses couldn&apos;t get me to buy any of that stuff.&quot; He took a long &nbsp;look at me and named the &quot;out of the door&quot; price my salesman had offered. I wrote the check and drove away in my new car, feeling quite pleased with myself.

  Old guy sounds just like me at a dealership. &nbsp;Nothing I hate more than car shopping, don&apos;t play games with me, I WILL walk.
