  There&apos;s a story about a submarine commander who won the Medal of Honor for doing one of the craziest things of World War II. His name was Fearless Freddie. What he did was infiltrate a Japanese port with his submarine and attack it. After escaping from his pursuers, he realized he still had torpedoes. Instead of looking for other targets, he decided to return to the same port he had attacked the day before and repeated the attack, sinking more enemy ships and escaping again. However, he still had enough torpedoes and, not wanting to return to his base with enough torpedoes, he returned the next day and repeated the attack, only to escape again. In short, the guy attacked the same Japanese base three times in three consecutive days and lived to tell the tale. I think he deserves a video on this channel.

  Fun fact: they didn&apos;t <i>cut</i> those ropes. Glider ropes were made of nylon and were so valuable that they were priority recoverable material over the parachutes, gliders, and even the rifles brought along with glider-borne troops.
