  It&apos;s almost 20 years since the 20 years anniversary game Contra on DS. Where does time go? I grew up on the NES. To see games hit 40 is crazy. I never thought a bunch of 50 year old grandpa age guys would still be into NES games. The homebrew and hacking communities for the retro systems is so cool. Keeping the retro systems still part of our lives. Contra! &nbsp;Everyone has memories of playing it with friends. We all know the code too. For me it was a staple of the summer of 89.

  I dont care what anyone says, Rogue Corps is a really great game, marred by a mid soundtrack, and uneven pacing with the upgrades. A few changes would make it top tier. Especially because during sales it drops to $5!<br><br>Turn off the in game music and play your own Contra remixes, and play it with online coop and its absolutely worth playing.<br><br>Hardcorps Uprising needs a rerelease. <br>4 too but might need a widescreen rework included with the original. <br>I doubt Konami would do it, but I could see ambitious modders trying at some point.<br><br>Operation Galuga was $20 during the Winter Steam sale. Im enjoying it. Theres a trick here on youtube to help grind credits in the perk shop to help unlock the OST remixes.<br><br>Funny you mentioned Super Cyborg, Blazing Chrome, and Huntdown; i just bought those! <br><br>Cuphead is terrific.<br>Never heard of Valfaris til now. <br>I heard Iron Meat is a really good Contra-like.<br>Infidelity&apos;s port is great.

  I remember my friend and I used to run through Contra, Super C and Contra 3 Alien Wars for SNES at least once a year for the longest time.<br>Contra 3 always ended up being the most enjoyable.<br>😄👍
