  Considering the horrific acts of abuse … the atrocities that were common practice in most asylums the world over throughout  history I would be more surprised to find an asylum that wasn’t infested with spirits. 💯

  Hospitals are really skilled at coverups. I once worked in a huge hospital, and one day during lunch break, a guy in line in the very busy cafeteria pulled a huge knife out of his pocket, and then started gutting himself like a fish. He cut hinself open and started pulling parts out...he then walked hundreds of feet while gutting himself, and screaming bloody murder, leaving blood and pieces of himself all along the way, even on the ceiling, until he died in an elevator, practically to the next hospital wing. Hundreds of people witnessed this. The hospital shipped in a ton of psychiatrists to help the hundreds of people who witnessed this. Never even a whisper of it again. Nobody ever mentioned it again after a few days. It was so odd to me.

  Considering all the CONFIRMED history of immoral medical experimentation in hospitals, clinics, and asylums, it’s no wonder how quickly rumors spread when a place closes suddenly.

  I think it's entirely possible, that the land itself, is haunted... So it could have always, been a bad place, before the building was erected.

  This is one of the few movies both my husband and I actually freaked out at. We were fine until the weird ass audio and that noise actually messed us up badly.

  I think there's a big possibility that the building could have been giving off infrasound which can cause a lot of the feelings of being watched, paranoia and even hallucinations, which people mistake for haunting, It's very common in old abandoned buildings, but it can also be caused by geological factors

  This doesn’t surprise me. &nbsp;One of the creepiest places I’ve ever been was the former psychiatric hospital in Buffalo New York. &nbsp;It was a sprawling, gothic 19th century facility straight out of a horror movie. &nbsp;Or Arkham Asylum from any Batman movie or comic. &nbsp;Like the hospital here, it was a sh*t show til the state closed it in the 1970s. &nbsp;It had been closed for decades before the city partially renovated it to be a hotel. Though only partially. The majority of it was still a run down and abandoned. &nbsp;I went there to drop off some friends (I, thankfully, was staying somewhere else). &nbsp;The place gave me Overlook Hotel vibes the hour I spent there. &nbsp;And I spent almost an hour there because we couldn’t find the front desk to check in. &nbsp;Or any staff or guests. We were literally yelling for anyone to respond til we finally found the front desk and the clerk’s who mysteriously hadn’t heard us. (Or was lazy AF.). <br><br>This place sounds worse and if so you couldn’t pay me enough to visit.
