  We (4 of us) were approached at the airport in Orlando with an offer for free breakfast and tickets to Disney World back in 2007. We told them we were not interested in any timeshare and they assured us it wasn't. When we arrived the next day, we already had a gameplan. We got the questionnaire and falsified our income (severely understated to the point that it was a little over what a college grad made and only a single income family). We walked out with our stomachs full without sitting thru a high-pressure presentation and free tickets to Disney. LOL!

  If someone is paying you to sit through a sales presentation, that should be the only red flag you need

  My second wife and I sat through a presentation with Evergreen Resorts up in Gatlinburg back in 2004 during our honeymoon. We were there over 2 hours and we stuck to our hard “no.”<br>They eventually relented and gave us our free Dollywood tickets.

  Me and my wife, just checking in into the Excalibur in Las Vegas. The tiimeshare desk wanted to charge me $100 and they would comp our whole vacation and give us dinner coupons. I negotiated down to $50. &nbsp;The guy told me not to buy anything to sit through the 120 minute presentation and everything will comped. &nbsp;It was about three hours, but the end of the day that trip was free to Las Vegas been doing ever since. &nbsp; That guy told me that and this was in the early 2000s been doing that ever since &nbsp; &nbsp; some resorts will bus you somewhere off the strip versus taking you to a conference room

  Years ago I stayed for a week in a luxury highrise hotel in Cancun. &nbsp;The hotel also had time shares, and they would rent out the unused ones. &nbsp;When I got back to NJ I was telling a girl about my vacation and she said that she had a timeshare in that building. &nbsp;I asked her what the annual maintenance fee for her one week timeshare was. &nbsp;It was more than I had paid to rent one of the places for the week! &nbsp;And I had not put up thousands of dollars to &quot;buy&quot; a week.
