  The guy who played Shooter didn't want the movie to show him hit the ball and then cut to the ball going into the hole for his final shot of the movie. He wanted the movie to show him hit the ball and make it all in 1 shot. So the director gave him 10 attempts to make it and if he did, they'd put it in.  He got it on like his 7th try and his reaction was pretty real because he never really played golf in real life

  Niamh’s reaction to Ben Stiller’s character is everything it should be. 😂 He’s so over the top that the only proper reaction is to have that shock laughter. Perfect.

  The actor who played Shooter MacGavin said that this was his favorite role he ever played, because he never had to pay for a round of golf ever since.

  This movie was shot at a bunch of different golf courses around the Vancouver area. My friends got married at one of those golf courses last year, and they still serve Happy Gilmore-themed mixed drinks 😎

  I like that she asks him, &quot;do you always carry a puck around with you?&quot; Ma&apos;am, Chubbs carries an alligator eye around with him. &nbsp;So, by comparison, a puck is pretty tame.

  So, my favorite fact about this movie: the tall blonde kid that&apos;s Happy&apos;s caddy in the first tournament was played by a young man with the incredible name of Jared X. Van Snellenberg. After a stint as a child actor, Van Snellenberg -- sorry, DR. Van Snellenberg -- is now a psychiatric professor and researcher, world renowned specifically for his work in the realm of using neuroimaging in the diagnosis and treatment of schizophrenia patients.
