Tim Burton also directed the original Batman with Michael Keaton.

Note the interior decorator says those who kill themselves become civil servants in the afterlife and several of the people working in the office in the afterlife seem to have killed themselves.

The caseworker was played by Sylvia Sidney, whose career lasted from 1926 to 1999. She was the daughter in "Street Scene", a fantastic drama from 1931. Her last movie role was the grandma in Mars Attacks! from 1996. Quite a lovely young woman, she was.

Back in the days when everyone smoked everywhere all the time, it was not uncommon to hear of someone who fell asleep while smoking in bed and burned their house down.

There are a couple Burton Batmans. Edward Scissor hands, Sweeney Todd, Sleepy Hallow are a few good Halloweeny movies without clay or animation. Mars Attacks is another her fun TimB movie.

For Christmas, you two should watch another strange Tim Burton film called 'Edward Scissorhands', it also stars Wynona Rider and Johnny Depp.
