Reminder! In Bambu slicer, when cutting piece you can add connectors! It reeeeeeally helps when lining up parts. When choose the cut tool, there will be an option to "Add Connectors" I suggest using a hexagon or triangle to stop parts from rotating while gluing

A cheap option to the pen is just a soldering iron and filament. Lay the filament on the inside of the seam and weld with the iron. Works extremely well at virtually no cost

I have a $350 Neptune 4 max. I can print a helmet in one day, half a roll of $20 filament and in one piece

Things have drastically changed in the past 10 years. For conventions I used to spend $120* on wire, foam, heat gun, thin plastic and that was just for a helmet

I hate watching youtube tutorials for any reason but I have literally never been more excited to learn about a hobby from a youtube video in my entire life than I am right now. I am so hyped to start working on my helldivers cosplay and I love learning how to do it properly

Another option is when cutting the parts in the slicer, is to choose the dowel option in the 'add connectors' menu. I add a few 2x10mm steel dowel pins between each cut part. I t makes aligning a doddle and also increases the mechanical strength of each joint piece.

When I made my helmet, I did not do a lot of these steps, such as the oil wash, and it still came out great! A lot of the materials i needed I found around my home, like sanding sponges. The total cost was around $100, but it still looked absolutely great for my first helmet! Your guys' videos have helped me a TON.
