  The Road is the most beautiful book I've ever experienced.  It's horrifying, bleak, heartbreaking and beautiful.  How does someone write something like that.

  The thing that scared me the most about the film was that there are three scenes that are exactly on screen what I had pictured in my mind while reading The Road.<br><br>My namesake being married to Molly Parker at the end makes me smile.<br><br>The best &apos;last man on Earth&apos; movie has to be 1985 New Zealand unsung classic The Quiet Earth. The scenes where the lead loses his mind in isolation are 100% believable.

  Man I can’t read the road again. I read it before I was a dad. Watched the movie after I was a dad and just bawled the whole time . Definitely couldn’t do the book again. It’s just so dark.

  Chrichton had a way of describing extremely complex science but a in way that is easy for anyone could kind of understand. The hippos in congo if you read the book oh man he knew how to turn just nature into monsters and he didnt even need them to be dinosaurs lol.

  Chrichton has always driven me nuts. He has these cool stories with great psuedo-science. And then, right at the end.... Volcano, Napalm, Let&apos;s Forget We Have Powers, etc. So painful.

  I saw The Last Man on Earth as a kid and it absolutely terrified me. I remember having nightmares thinking about the vampires taunting Vincent Price while trying to break into his house every night.
