Funny, I live in Monterey County and remember nothing about any issue in Pebble Beach recently, or, in the last 40 years. Not saying Pebble is immune, just saying I question the headline of this video. Local mansions (no I do not live in Pebble Beach) are not sliding into the ocean, and if they are, no one has mentioned it.

Sounds to me that insurance companies and goverment has covered their ass put left the land and home owner is left holding all the liability! Better read fine print in those insurance policies and due your due diligence when you are looking for coastal real estate to buy. And, remember that wise old saying! If a deal looks to be true chances are it is too good to be true! Buy property that's at least a couple of miles from the coastline!
