  “You are their safe place.” Yeah… that line got me. My dog sleeps in my chair every single day when I leave for work and now I’m gonna see that completely differently.

  I&apos;ve never taken it as a sign of dominance. I know my dog loves me, the feeling is mutual. Dogs are the greatest gift, period.

  My Boston Terrier I&apos;ve had 15 years sits in my chair,bed , truck seat every place I sit she takes over . <br>I&apos;m closer to my dog than any human.<br>She&apos;s so pleasant and loving all day.<br>She saved my life 3 times during our life together going for help when I had a MI ..passed out from a headache, and recently another MI. <br>The 1st responders affectionately know her now as my Rescue Dog.<br>I&apos;m a former firefighter and she only lets a person with a badge come near me in a distressful situation.<br><br>Knows how to sneak out and get me help .<br>Spell Dog backwards...<br>God.<br>Man&apos;s best friend for a reason...<br>Love my dog like I love God, unconditionally.❤

  So my dog isn’t “stealing” my seat… they’re basically wrapping themselves in the leftover me 😭🐾 Warmth + scent + “you are my safe place.” Fine, you can have the chair. I&apos;ll sit next to you.

  My dog gathers my clothes and lays on them on my seat . Never chews or harms the garments - just keeps them and lays on them
