I am a 60 year old school teacher from the United States and just recently discovered your channel. You have introduced me to mudlarking and have inspired me to make my own Borrowers clock with my niece.  I love the relationship the two of you have!  It makes me miss my own Mom who I lost 6 years ago. I love your videos and just wanted to say hello from the States!  ~Chris S.

You can patch that painting. Lay if flat on an ironing board and with a medium setting iron all the rips to lay flat. Then paint glue on the back and place a piece of canvas to hold the rips in pace. After it's dry mix paint and paint in the cracks. You will be surprised how well it will look!

We had pulley in the kitchen when I was kid 60 years ago, always had washing drying on it. The table we ate at was also in the kitchen. I remember one meal time a pair of dad’s long-johns fell from the pulley straight onto my mother’s head. Memories of us kids crying with laughter, mother not amused and Dad rushing to grab his long-johns. Brilliant find.

I bought a copy of that PLAY BOX children's book dated 1920 when I was in London last December of 2025 and visited the flea markets and charity shops on Portobello Road in Notting Hill.  I collect children's books, and it was a rare find to bring home to Los Angeles.  The old graphics are exquisite.  I adore you women and watch you every day.  What lovely ladies and what wonderful inspiration.

I think the picture with the hole is more interesting than if it was whole.

You brought some lovely items, the two large lace pieces are collars the last one would have been starched and the front two points would have gone through a thin lace loop to make it look like a scarf, they are beautiful. Love the horse head. Thanks for sharing.

My maternal grandmother was 13 years old in 1903. Sometimes it amazes me that I knew someone who was born in the Victorian Era (1890). She died in 1987. I wish I could go back in time and ask her a lot more questions. 😢RIP Granny Tolley.
