  Grandmas would hold onto and cherish every little gift of love their grandchildren would give them too, so perhaps one or two of those little things were given to her by her grandchildren. 😊

  From dime store stuff to Wedgwood, your nan had the full range. The blue and white transfer plate is my favorite. The little dish with the pink ribbon has the same sweet florals as the mirror, hair brush and clothes brush and might have served as a ring dish on the same dresser or been hung on a wall nearby. For &nbsp;breakfast or tea service, the two pressed glass dishes could hold clotted cream or butter, sugar cubes or lemon slices to accompany the condiment jars containing jam and honey. This was fun! More, please.

  The black bowl with the moving handle is an ashtray, and the little metal plate on the handle is for resting the cigarette or cigar on.

  Some beautiful and precious memories from your Nan. I am sitting sort of shaking my head at the fact that the year 2000 was a quarter of a century ago. In my head I know it is right, but my heart is saying NO WAY. 😱 I will be 65 in two weeks and this beautiful unveiling of your Nan’s treasures makes my heart happy for you. I don’t have anything that belonged to any of my grandparents. A lot of those items are things that my own grandparents had when I was growing up. My precious Dad’s mother made her doilies. They were on the arms and headrests of her upholstered chairs and the arms of the couches for “protection”. They were also under lamps and heavier objects that sat on tables in their living room. Both of my Dad’s parents passed in 1976, just 6 months apart. I love your Nan’s vanity set. Yes,please do videos opening the other boxes.

  Check who makes everything by a mark on the bottom. Some ceramic figures can be worth a lot. Most of all, cherish the memories of your grandmother.
