  wow i did not think this video would do well at all, but i&apos;m super thankful you guys actually enjoyed it.<br>also, i did get flowey not remembering his past wrong, i&apos;m pretty sure he did, but as far as i&apos;m aware it was never explicitly stated if he did or didn&apos;t as he doesn&apos;t reference more than like chara. if i&apos;m also wrong about this, feel free to say so. but thank you regardless!

  Simple, Flowery is not a Traumatized child given the ability to control time without the capacity to feel empathy

  It&apos;s also interesting that Flowey had infinite time to live with the power to reset, while Flowery only has one day in the Dark World.

  i actually disagree that flowey doesnt have asriel’s memories bc he mentions remembering how chara’s plan failed in the geno route, as well as in pacifist remembering that chara was kinda &nbsp;not a good person<br><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ysgL_9OUF0&amp;t=500">8:20</a> this is after he took the six human souls btw

  The Flowers are not Darkners and weren&apos;t given purpose by the Dark Fountain. They are alive in the Light World and clearly capable of some degree of consciousness, even if it&apos;s a lower form than sapient beings. They have their own desires (as they have an entire scene devoted to telling you). The Fountain didn&apos;t give them those desires, just the ability to understand reality on a higher level than previously. Yellow, for instance, become a Cowboy because that&apos;s what he wanted to be, not because the Fountain gave him that purpose.

  On Undertale&apos;s Genocide Route, the monsters telling the story of Asriel in New Home is replaced by Flowey telling you some things. He did remember being Asriel when he was first brought back. He told Asgore who he was. He felt nothing. He tried going to Toriel. He told Toriel who he was. He felt nothing. He tried killing himself. He thought that he didn&apos;t wanna die. He was brought back where he started. There is more, but I needn&apos;t spoil it.

  I always thought flowey was a meta commentary on how the player &quot;thinks&quot; during the genocide route, he went down the same path and has the line of thoughts that the player would have during the genocide route, so i just assumed that flowery is a reverse of that and is completely based around undertale&apos;s pacifist root and how the player &quot;thinks&quot; during it<br><br>Edit, okay to correct a bit, flowery is not specifically based off of undertale pacifist players only. obvious a lot of them moved to deltarune and their line of thought adapted but you still have a lot of them wanting to get a happy ending like undertale&apos;s pacifist root dispite the prophecy and flowery very much plays off of this.

  First of all, this is unbelievably underrated. We need more views on this.<br>Secondly though I do believe you misread what Flowey represents in terms of his creation. He isn&apos;t just a copy of Asriel, he IS Asriel himself. He frequently talks to &quot;Chara&quot; (us) about things that no one other than Asriel would ever know about, like their plan, Chara&apos;s &quot;Stolen Soul&quot;, and his genocide monologue. As explained by him, when he first woke up he was just as much Asriel as before he died. He called out to his father and mother and genuinely craved the connection he felt to them before. Simply knowing that Toriel is Asriel&apos;s mother wouldn&apos;t actually make you crave a connection with her if you were roleplaying as Asriel.<br>And then of course the neverending emptiness inside him paired with his longing to feel, anything, lead to him slowly burning up timelines and dialogue options which is what lead to his complete apathy to this world, hence the Kill or Be Killed mindset. For all he knows that&apos;s how the world treated him when it mattered.<br><br>Now there&apos;s an argument to be made that maybe Flowey is still a copy and not the actual Asriel, but just with all of his memories. Which I would still disagree with given that Undyne, yes Undyne herself is able to come back from death with Determination. I doubt that&apos;d be anoither perfect copy of Undyne, it wouldn&apos;t make much sense really.<br>Then there&apos;s also the philosophical question of if someone is literally a perfect 1:1 copy of you, and you&apos;re dead, are they you now? But yeah that&apos;s outside the scope of a youtube comment.<br><br>Overall super well made video. You deserve a lot more support than this.
