Reminds me of Berdly&apos;s arm injury being a choice we can actually make. The eggs thus would be &quot;evidence&quot; that our choices DID matter

  It could explain the egg&apos;s check dialogue, too. &quot;Not too important. Not too unimportant&quot;. They&apos;re sort of important, as they&apos;re the items that draw in FRIEND, but unimportant as in they, themselves, don&apos;t actually DO anything

  About the fact that Berdly can get damaged in the light world if you hurt him in the dark world, can&apos;t you say the same for Tenna and Flowery? Both of those characters also get hurt in the dark world which if you go to the light world will also look damaged. Even the church looks kind of decrepit after you seal the dark fountain in chapter 4.

  Maybe the forgotten man is forgotten because he changed his appearance to get away from friend? I mean why else would he be in a hospital or in ch3 he asked us to not forget him again or something like that

  The thought that Kris losing their hand is a metaphor for losing their connection to us goes <i>crazy</i> when you put the clip of a friend biting them right after it. Notice how when friend bites Kris, your soul moves to them to perform the action, and the moment it touches the cat the entire party takes damage, despite the fact that it never actually touched Kris. Not only that, but there&apos;s even some preexisting evidence that supports this idea, when Kris kicks the shit out of their soul in the bathroom during the weird route, Susie asks them a question while the two of them are walking down the street, and it&apos;s followed by this bizarre moment where the entire game just stops and all the dialogue options are blacked out, the game has shown us that if the soul is damaged significantly enough it effects our ability to interact with the game.<br><br>What if Friend bites us so hard that it actually breaks their soul and we get booted out of Kris permanently?

  I think everyone is missing something key when focusing on Eggs.<br><br>Friend has only ever hurt us when the Soul is out of Kris. What if the &quot;Protein&quot; is not eggs like everyone is assuming but Souls? And by extension what if these egg-like objects are fragments of a shattered Soul? Eggs are something that life comes from, they&apos;d be like small Souls.<br><br>This is further backed up by how Kris does nothing in Ch2 to stop the Weird Route, because in the Dark World friend is watching. In the Light World though Kris has no issue with trying to fight back violently and visibly. Friend isn&apos;t able to watch. In Ch4 Kris tries to resist but we force a notable amount of power somehow suppressing Kris with a unique animation. In Ch5 Kris tries to resist Noelle but with almost no force even if we try to help them resist, something that makes even more sense if you consider that there is a Dark World very close. When we hit a certain point our only option is Proceed, we lose the ability to say stop even if it is pointless. The only way to survive and not have Friend catch on is to fully go with Proceed as we get closer to them.
