Just so everybody knows, after the success of Evil Dead Rise Bruce Campbell and Sam Raimi are working on the outline for the rest of the series, and Bruce has changed his mind and is now open to returning as Ash if Sam directs!

Idk if you heard but Bruce Campbell makes a cameo in the recording of the vinyls in Evil Dead Rise. He plays one of the priest that says “it’s called the book of the dead for a reason” it’s confirmed that he plays a time-displaced Ash.

Daily remember without these movies we would have no Bully Maguire, which would be a much darker world.

Interestingly, Evil Dead 2013 isn't a deviation from the main timeline, but the introduction of a different Necronomicon.  According to the lore, there are actually 3 Necromomicons, as seen in Army of Darkness; the Necromomicon Ex Mortis, the Naturum Demonto, and the unnamed book from Evil Dead Rise. Each book has its own protagonist and summons its own "boss demon." For Ash, his story is tied to the Necromomicon Ex Mortis, and the "boss demon" it summons was actually Kandar the Slayer, at the end of Ash vs Evil Dead, rather than the tree demon at the end of Evil Dead 2. Mia, from 2013, is connected to the Naturum Demonto, and its "boss demon" is the Abomination. This is also the case with the unnamed book in Evil Dead Rise; new protagonist and "boss demon," the Marauder.

I love how they slowly build up Ash's character where he goes from shell shocked victim to a professional deadite killer!

Bruce Campbell in a recent interview said he’d comeback to do a movie where him Mia and Beth team up to destroy all of the books

Hey Ryan I just wanted to point out that in Ash vs Evil Dead there is a VERY minor line about Pablo working in the tech department of that retail store which kinda leads into him probably having tech knowledge, which may explain how he was able to create that mechanical hand for ash. It’s super easy to miss but after rewatching the series I caught it 👍

If y’all haven’t read “If Chins could Kill: Confessions of a B Movie Actor”, you owe yourself to pick it up. It’s amazing. Bonus points for the audio book, narrated by the man himself.
