Cool Cat and Merlin Mouse to me feel like rejected Hanna-Barbera characters. In the way they act and speak

Imagine if you will, replacing all of your classic characters with Poochie.

Cool cat would be funnier if he was portrayed as a tryhard hippie trying to look cool and getting himself hurt.

It is ironic the classic looney tunes era both started and ended with knock-off characters

From Bosko to Cool Cat, the series began and ended on extremes.

Now I know why that psycho version of the merry go round theme meant "change the channel". As a very young boy I was disturbed by the way the characters didn't behave like themselves. They sounded different, acted differently, and did things that weren't funny. They had changed.<br> That music really affected me. 😵💫

The Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries actually had a whole episode making fun of Cool Cat.

To say that Bob Mckimson himself hated the cartoons he directed in this era, would be a understatement

As a kid I knew when I heard THAT Looney Toons theme I was about to see a shitty cartoon.
