Great answer on what to do with the foam. I do the same. I keep the last bit of the honey with the foam for my personal use.

Im in british columbia interior... we kind of skip fall and go more into winter , doing an inspection on one hive , couldnt find any brood in the lower box with a couple frames of brood in the upper box , but no eggs .... second hive i was having issue getting into the lower deep but it seemed to all just be honey , hives seem to be acting normal

Do you sell the winter feeding bds and is there a wintercandy recipe we can make?

GREAT Video David 👍 , added another super with drawn comb and some honey. The weather is remarkable warm and humid, expecting another 10 days in upper 70's. So, in 3 days I will check the progress if any for bee work in this box, hive is now 5 supers no deeps. Any suggestions?

Hey David I really appreciate your knowledge about beekeeping. I wanted to try an experiment with a hive this winter ( Ohio) and wanted to know your thoughts. I am going to arrange the hive like you said with brood in the middle honey and bee bread on the sides in the bottom box a honey a bread over them in the top box. What I was going to try is leaving out the center frame below and the top to give them more room to clustering the middle but still surrounding them with brood bee bread an honey. I will put a candy board on top also. What do you think. Dean

One thing I'm always concerned about this time of year is overfeeding. I knock most down to just brood chamber and feed 2.1 syrup. Is there a way to avoid this and how likely would the bees become syrup/honey bound? I sometimes move a blank drawn frame into the middle and give another feed tbs there's room for brood.

Great video as always. Is feeding a community feeder now a good practice for winter build up? I also have a super on my strongest colony that I plan on feeding the honey/nectar back to my 3 colonies. What is the best way to feed it to them? I'm in Texas.

I inspected my hive today (Washington State) and there was no queen, eggs, larvae or brood. I was in there 10 days ago and I saw all stages so I never looked too closely for the queen. What could have happened? They have resources and no mites. I will plan on combining that hive with my other hive is that a good option since it’s so late in September.
