  I used to work in a Musical Instrument shop, and we always had to have a play on any guitars and basses that came in, because of course we did! <br>Yammy&apos;s were always, and without exception, pretty much perfect.

  I bought a £50 old dog Pacifica as a covid project - not expecting much. I did a bit of work on it. Suffice to say, the American Standard Strat is gone- donated to a mate who lusted it and I still have the Pacifica. It is great. The neck is perfect for my hands. It stays in tune where all the others don&apos;t. It stays with me where all my others won&apos;t.( Apart from the Japanese Strat)

  I replaced the bridge pickup in my very first guitar with the cheapest unbranded one I could find on Ebay just to keep alive. It&apos;s a 1990&apos;s Yamaha ERG 121 and its one of the nastiest guitars on the rack! Cut my first EP with it age 17 and I laid a solo down with it last week age 38. A good guitar is a good guitar!

  I have an older Yamaha acoustic/ electric that I picked up at a pawnshop in Florida while on vacation about 20 years ago.. took it back to Illinois where I was born and lived my whole life.. about 10 years ago I moved to Florida about an hour from where I bought that guitar.. played the shit out of it over the years and it has not let me down.. still have it in a case in the closet. Stopped playing about 5 years ago and it still sits..

  I bought a brand new sunburst backguard PAC012 a year ago, and I love it. I&apos;ve barely changed anything on it. It&apos;s awesome. Insane value for money.

  Back in the day the Pacific 112 massively shifted the goalposts on what to expect from a budget guitar, and to this day every Yamaha product I have ever tried has been first rate🤘🏻
