  I am 58 yrs old now, and its wonderful to see so many young people refusing to be wage slaves, and do what society has said is "normal"  stay free and happy.  Live an abundant life with the necessities.  Dont waste your time wanting stuff.  Enjoy what you have.

  The problem with office jobs these days (software engineer here) is that they involve doing pointless tasks for unnecessary projects that need not exist in the first place, creating dark patterns just to lock in customers, and implementing the subscription model wherever possible. It’s disgusting, really. I personally hate subscriptions, I see them as inferior.<br><br>When I was a kid, play meant hanging out with friends, staying up late at night exploring crazy ideas listening to some heavy metal, or just biking around town with no real purpose, just exploring. We’d find something interesting and interact with it, or for example we’d make our own hockey goals on the street (in the courtyard of a neighbourhood where I lived, the size of a basketball pitch. Instead of skates, we used inline skates, and instead of pucks, we had plastic balls. I remember making my own shin guards since I was the goalkeeper. I couldn’t afford real ones, and even if I could, I wouldn’t have wanted to slide around on tarmac with them. Only our imagination could hinder us.<br><br>Growing up in Sweden, I had an amazing childhood filled with play and adventure. Now, I sit at my desk working from home, feeling like my soul is slowly dying. But…it’s an incredibly comfy job.

  Thanks for the video. I escaped the &quot;matrix&quot; a few years ago. When looking at it from the outside it seems even more crazy than when you are in it and just chugging along. We humans are amazing at adapting to the environment we are put in.

  Exactly! You are spending your life and money on a system, and on maintaining it. Falsely believing it is the right thing to do and that it makes you happy. We are being formatted to think like this since early childhood...

  Your video brought tears to my eyes as i listened to your testimony on my way to work as a daycare teacher. I cried because it spoke to how ive been feeling for a while now. Now that the veil has been lifted i find myself having to take deep breaths and put on a smile before I clock in. I used to get so much joy working with kids but now it breaks my heart to look around and see how we neglect our kids just to keep up. I see kids struggle everyday because of this. We have infant babies being left in our care for 11 hours a day. 😟😥 Im working on a plan to get out but i also want to do something about this for the sake of humanity. I do believe i was meant to experience this and speak about it. ❤

  Oh I&apos;m so proud of you. This inspires me. I don&apos;t fit the 9-5, it doesn&apos;t sit right and so I&apos;m trying to figure out how to change it! Thanks for the advice!
