  My mother lived this way for nearly 50 years.  She literally dropped dead out of nowhere at 69. No known health problem. It was the stress that eventually killed her.  And the only reason my father found her dead was because he got out of bed to go find her because she didn’t wake him up to help him around in the morning. Then, to add insult to injury…. A week after she died he started talking about getting “a woman” in the house to cook and clean. He only ever viewed her as a servant.  It was a real reality check for me about how men actually view women in general.

  I don’t even like having to tell my bf which chores to do………if it’s dirty, clean it. If there’s a full dishwasher, unload it. If the hampers full, start laundry. You have a functional sense of both sight and smell, plus you’re a big boy. I’m not your mother and I’m not making you a chore list

  When you are over certain age like me, the main question about potential male partner is &quot;can he make my life better?&quot;. If he can&apos;t, if he would add just more work for me, more chores for me, more exhaustion for me, why would I need him? Just for money? Just to have a partner? For sex? No, thanks! I am too old for that.

  She throws his trash away that he left next to the bed. Every single one of these things she does for her husband my three year old can do by himself. 😂
