"You were never really good at saving anyway... so Maria got a quick delete"
"My lead's pressed to your headset, won't keep Lylla waiting in the spawnroom"
ZERO holds barred, they went for each other's necks, I can't decide a winner

"You were never good at saving anyways, so Maria got a quick delete" was a nasty diss from Rocket but "Sent back to your deathbed like an arrow headin' towards Yondu" and "My lead's pressed to your headset won't keep Lylla waiting in the spawn room" was a disgustingly good clap back from Shadow

Gotta give it to him never count him out when it comes to the Maria diss

Not even tryna be biased, and sure Rocket pulled out the Maria card but Shadow technically had three: Yondu, Lylla, and his entire race... Yeah, Shadow got this one

Rocket: "I suffered through pain, they cut me apart, they cut you a break.”
Shoulder Angel Kronk: No, no. He’s got a point.

"I am the purpose that they put your friends on the line for, I am the Ultimate Lifeform!"

I mean, that feels like good payback for that Maria line, a diss and hype all at once is hard to do well, but DAMN Shadow was standing on business.

People saying Rocket won this easily as if Shadow didn’t call out how Rocket ran away from his own problems, became half of the man he used to be, and called out how his girl also died against his Maria diss

Like I get Shadow has a life full of mistakes, but Rocket is the LAST person to call him out on this

Personally I'd give Shadow the win. His disses were so much smoother with the Trash Panda, Looney Tunes and the framed lines in his first verse. Not to mention how he retalied against Rocket's Maria diss by invalidating his entire backstory with his "I'm the purpose they put your friends on the line for, I am the Ultimate Lifeform" line and followed up with both his Yondu and his Lylla lines. So yeah, I'd say Shadow wins given how he has quality disses and several more of them when compared to Rocket.

2:44 Awesome reference to the end of the opening cutscene of Shadow's game. Rocket's taking Sonic's place here.
