  I feel the only appropriate time for Alastor to curse is when his staff broke. It nods to the fact that "you can't curse on radio"

  I think show Alastor shows off his power way too much. Pilot Alastor's appeal was that he didn't even need to do anything crazy to be recognized as a powerful individual, he's so confident in himself and so unbothered. this trait of his makes the rare moments where he does show what he is capable of so much more special because you go "damn, so THIS is what makes him so confident in himself". also, the way he acts so casually even when using his crazy powers, it makes it feel like this isn't even a fraction of his true power. I find show Alastor to be lacking in those aspects

  Something I&apos;ve heard people say is that pilot Alastor feels like a charming radio show host who just <i>happens</i> to be a serial killer, while show Alastor is the other way around. And I think that&apos;s where some of the disconnect can be found.

  I will forever be mad that Alastor will never ragebait people by saying “language!” when someone swears

  he had more unique characteristics too. like an old sound clip of a laughtrack playing when he jokes.<br>also they missed an opportunity to make him cuss in an old timey way...

  Series Alastor fought Adam because he wanted to stroke his ego at the idea of having killed an archangel, I bet Pilot Alastor would do it for the mere curiosity of hearing what an angel&apos;s screams would sound in his broadcast

  I think the biggest problem with series Alastor is that he&apos;s... readable.<br><br>In the pilot, you can vaguely see the frustrations he has, but that&apos;s through mannerisms. His FACE was always smiling. <br><br>The smile wasn&apos;t an aesthetic choice, it was how he could condescend, or vent without looking or sounding like he&apos;d rather kill someone.

  I think it could have been a power move if Alastor never cursed, and he bleeped out anyone cursing around him, especially if it made them angry and he stayed sangfroid.

  show alastor also just feels small, he doesnt feel like a big deal, while in the pilot he feels like a big intimidating force

  i&apos;d sum it up to - in the pilot, Alastor&apos;s cane was part of him, but in the actual show he became part of the cane
