Fifty years ago a buddy asked me to ride with him to inspect a boat that his great uncle left him. He went fishing with him one time on the boat whrn he was a child. Hadn't seen him or the boat in 30 years. When we eventually found the boat in the marina it had sunk years prior and was resting in 5 feet of water. We laughed and as we were getting in the truck the marina owner produced a bill for unpaid slip fees for six years. Forget how much, but it was more than the boat was worth if it was in good shape. Laughed even harder at that point.

A time share really isn't an asset. It's like inherenting a gym membership that you can't get rid of. Just get rid of it. Definitely pay them nothing, and don't try to take control of it, just get rid of it. They can't make you pay, you don't really own anything.

I have a traditional IRA. Unfortunately converting to a Roth triggers tax payments? Timing seems to be the key. It's like pay me now or pay me later where taxes are concerned? Uncle Sam gets his no matter?
