  I was very fortunate that my daddy cooperated w me , his oldest daughter/ caregiver in setting up his revocable trust, locking in the price of his cremation for a $100 deposit.The balance to be paid out of his estate.<br>He had banked money with his long term care policy years before because his mom had Alzheimer’s.<br>He made me his successor trustee and gave me the responsibility to disperse his money to my 4 siblings and I.<br>My siblings took into consideration that this was “ above your pay grade “.<br>They each helped me accomplish my role.<br>Daddy would have been very proud of all of us for the way we worked together.<br>We sold his 2 remaining rental properties, followed his wishes as he had already written down in an advance directive years before he became incompetent.<br>Daddy lived with Alzheimer’s for 7 years, until he died peacefully in his sleep at age 88.

  My Mom accidentally disinherited her children when she gave everything over to my stepdad. &nbsp;When he died, everything went to his 3 children despite HER wishes when he died that the estate be divided equally amongst the children and stepchildren. She had no idea that the will would be lost and we did not have access to the attorney who held a copy of the will. &nbsp;I believe my stepfather&apos;s oldest daughter destroyed the will. &nbsp;If someone with a blended family wants to protect their children, then get a living trust done!

  Amazing information. 37 years old with a wife. 18 month baby. About to make the biggest deal ever selling my land due to urban development. A living trust has always been my strongest conviction. Education in this arena is important for me. <br><br>Thank You.

  It took two months to get my trust done and funded. Don&apos;t leave it until the last minute because it takes time to do it.

  Nicely done - I will be sharing this with others. I did this with my father, who passed at 96, then hurriedly with my twin brother, who passed 8 months later at 59 from cancer - he signed his will and trust 24 hours before he passed. GET IT DONE.

  My parent’s revocable living trust worked perfect. No complaints here. No taxes, no probate.

  We looked for an attorney to do a trust for my wife and I and found only one out of ten that would do it. The other attorneys wouldn&apos;t even talk about it. No was their answer. The one attorney that would do it wanted over four thousand dollars just to add a paid off home and personal property. So, we did it ourselves. Got all the forms completed, notarized and filed in court. My brother who&apos;s is an accountant and had done several trusts before helped us out too.

  Thank you!! &nbsp;It has been 10 years since I set up a revolvable trust. &nbsp;You have reminded me I need to up date. &nbsp;I would encourage everyone to listen to Toby and &nbsp;let him get you started. &nbsp;It is well worth the time and effort.
