  Heart broke through in the days when the industry said &quot;girls can&apos;t rock&quot;. &nbsp;Anne and Nancy said &quot;hold our beers.&quot; &nbsp;The stories they told with their lyrics are important. &nbsp;&quot;Barracuda&quot; is about standing up to the industry that told them they needed to be &quot;lesbian lover sisters&quot; and sleep with the music execs.

  Growing up in the 70s and 80s, we girls didn’t have a lot of female rock singers to love. &nbsp;Heart filled our hearts! &nbsp;There were woman singers doing ballads, but these girls rocked! ❤️🎶

  Magic Man - if you thought this was a well crafted song, wait until you hear the dual trading-off guitar &quot;solo/interlude&quot; on Magic Man. One of the most creative things I have ever heard in rock. &nbsp;Roger Fisher and Howard Leese are geniuses.

  Ann Wilson is one of the most iconic female rock voices ever. &nbsp;Heart was my first rock concert, back in 1982. &nbsp;John Cougar Mellencamp opened for them. &nbsp;Phenomenal band.

  Just FYI: &nbsp;Nancy Wilson is playing that guitar introduction and Ann Wilson plays the flute on other song recordings so no surprise you heard some tones of it here. &nbsp;I am a longtime fan and us girls in the 70s wanted to grow up and be them! &nbsp;Thanks for lovely analysis!

  This was the music that got me through high school. Heart - sisters Ann Wilson (dark haired, vocalist) and Nancy Wilson (blond, guitarist), were two of the first, powerful female leads. And when you said ‘powerful’ at the start, all I could think was…’ you ain’t heard <b>nothin’</b> yet!’ They are still around performing today (in their 70’s)! ❤ A few more songs for reactions:<br><b>Barracuda</b><br><b>Magic Man</b><br><b>Alone</b><br><b>Dreamboat Annie</b> and<br>Stairway To Heaven performed at the 2012 Kennedy Center Honors as a tribute to Led Zeppelin with John Bonham’s son Jason on the drums. <b>That</b> was a powerful performance! &nbsp;More please!
