I was cadet on the school ship "Denmark" in 1977 . Six months trip on a tall ship with 26 sails. 42 m Tall mast.. etc.. it was an experience for life. I am now 65.

You’re now engaged in an international voyage as a commercial vessel. The compliance for a boat like that is insane. For starters all crew need to be properly credentialed.

As a Dane, it makes me proud to see that you have preserved that ship and that it is still being brought to life. It was built in Jutland, where I come from. I helped with the SV seeker build about 8 years ago and they're cruising around now. I hope your journey works out as well, especially to see a Canadian story around a large boat project.

You mentioned insurance. In the case of Sailcargo’s Vega project that was the main show stopper. Look into this as early as you can and perhaps learn from them, if not already done. Good luck!!

I am from Denmark and i love your hole idea and your love for old wooden ships. I get the same virus. I know all about this kind of ship and the old Grenå Hundested engine. Fump fump.. one cylinder sound.
