He tried to stop drinking cold turkey and passed away from withdrawals within 48 hours. It definitely made me rethink how normalized alcohol is in our society and I&apos;ve been sober ever since.

  Since you mentioned it in this video, my dad took his life in 2022. &nbsp;Dane has the exact same laugh as he did. So every time Dane laughs it reminds me of him and I smile. A great laugh indeed.

  Food addiction is harder to manage because you can’t just remove the trigger. People can choose not to keep alcohol at home, but you can’t avoid eating. Every meal becomes a test of control and moderation, which makes recovery more complicated. With alcohol or drugs, total avoidance is possible; with food, you’re forced to face the thing you’re addicted to several times a day.

  Been struggling with my weight my whole life and currently the heaviest I’ve been…I do truly feel so terrible for people who let it get this bad. I have that voice in my head telling me that I need to lose weight and be healthy, which helps me from totally spiraling but I know how easy it is to just eat and eat. Praying for everyone who’s going through a similar struggle with addiction.

  Alcohol withdrawal is no joke. Very dangerous. You can seize, hallucinate, etc. Theres a scale we use in the hospital to evaluate the severity of someone&apos;s symptoms (CIWA if you&apos;re curious). I always urge people who are attempting to stop drinking alcohol to do so under medical supervision, or at least under some sort of supervision.
