  The danish girl was really working hard to make herself understandable, you would never hear anything that clear and well pronounced in Denmark. :D<br>Unexpected though that the Swedish girl didn&apos;t know how to say Belgien...

The Germani were one of the Germanic tribes during the Classical Roman era, and one so notable in the eyes of the Romans that they became the name of the whole Germanic community to the Latin world. English is the most Latinized/Roman of all Germanic languages, so English replaced the native word Dutch for German. Dutch later then came back to describe the nearest non-English Germanic culture, the Netherlanders. The pure cognate of Deutschland / Tyskland in English would be Dutchland interestingly

  The Afrikaans speaker was the easiest to understand because she spoke <b>loud</b> enough to be heard, and she spoke slowly and clearly. Everyone else basically quickly mumbled their way through their words.
