My grandfather was in the Navy during WW2 in the Pacific. He was mainly on a minesweeper the USS Quick, but late in the war he was reassigned to a new ship. Just before his ship was to depart he came down with a bad case of pneumonia and had to be hospitalized. His new ship, the USS Indianapolis and it was leaving on that mission to deliver parts of the bomb. If he didn’t get sick my mom might have never been born.

I was a very small child in the 80's when I first saw Jaws. I've since seen it countless times and yup, still epic!

Saw this movie when it came out, I was 12 years old. A month later we went on a vacation of Florida, and I never even dipped a toe into the ocean. I didn’t even swim in a saltwater pool at the motel we were staying at. You wouldn’t have been able to pay me enough to go in the ocean after seeing this movie. But I will have to say that I developed a nice fascination with sharks, and did study them for a while.

I didn't watch till I was 12 in 1986. It's been one of my favorite movies of a time and watch it at least once a year.
