Lee Hoy, the million dollar statement "Still your mind and thoughts and creativity" Wow !! That's another level for photography skill to acquire especially in front of a subject which you have been waiting hours for. Those humming birds closeup shot is just so so compelling. The way you describe the hummingbirds in Ecuador is like me having house flies flying around my food when I'm eating something amazing. What an experience !! Looking forward to more of your videos.

OMG, I love they two humming bird shot. That is special. I don't understand the hurry mentality. Slow down and learn about what you are seeing. I spent 20 minutes yesterday shooting a raven (the Peterbilt of birds) pulling a McDonalds bag out of a trash can. for some fries. It was pretty amusing. Great video, Lee.

Interesting video Lee.

I've always thought it was important to be creative with the ordinary! As much as I would love to go to exotic locations, I need to practice more with what I have readily available, and the only way to do that is to be creative with what we have closest to us.

Puffin rock bird sanctuary,
Elliston Newfoundland on the Bonavista Peninsula of Newfoundland & Labrador Canada, is the largest puffin colony in Atlantic Canada, it is very worthwhile to visit.

Very nice hummingbird photos, no hummingbirds up my way, we photograph puffins instead.

Hi Lee. I always look at your video’s and one thing that learned - amongst others - is to shoot fully manual. I did set up the camera (we use OM-1’s) like you advised and I’m getting pretty used to it so I now almost always do so. Something else: I was wondering what camera you use for your talking head video’s at home and what the focus settings are. I think it must be an Olympus / OM type of camera for you being a ambassador .
Forgive me for asking (and I’m not a hater as you sometines call your responding audience): why is the focus often hunting from your face to the background and back. Is this someting that OM has to improve or do you use someting else? Or didn’t you realize this yourself?
