    Excellent!  Another mistake I see is no awareness of the wind.  For birds, keep the wind at your back because birds take off and land into the wind.  For mammals, keep the wind in your face so the mammal does not spook when it smells human scent.  An example of when manual focus is needed is photographing a subject in a blizzard with heavy snow falling.

    Decent vid, nice photos. For birds-in-flight, (BIF) I try to use a much slower shutter speed why on the birds wing speed & distance, I try to capture the whole wing stroke at least. Just thought I would throw this out there for thought. Happy shooting.
