  With the subject matter of this song, I understand why a lot of you all may think it could be too early to listen to this/wanting me to never listen to this. I relate to this song and have been seeking closure for this for a long time and moved it up on my list after reading the description on the video. To be honest, I don’t think anyone could ever really prepare for this song. These topics may be extremely hard to face, but I honestly needed this video as it gave me a sense of closure and helped me realize I needed to seek help with therapy. Thank you all for the concern.   Jonathan said after they finished the recording, his bandmates all came to comfort him, and that's when he knew his Band was the family he needed, at this particular time I think

  this isnt even just music at this point man. This is pure therapy for Jonathan. and the fact that this man kept all this in for so long is absolutely heart wrenching. my heart goes out to anyone who has ever gone through this.

  I am a child of the 90s and a survivor of child sexual abuse (CSA), rape, and incest. I was 12 when my abuser, my uncle, was killed in an automobile accident in 1992. Two years later and I was14 and a full blown alcoholic, when this album was released (1994). Jonathan Davis will never know this, but he saved my life on several occasions, just by letting me know I was not alone. He is now using his platform to let people know how important mental health care is. God bless him.

  Before they recorded this song, Jonathan told the rest of the band, no matter what happens do not stop playing their instruments. So that's why they continued to play when he broke down at the end. And when they finished recording, they all ran over to him and gave him a massive hug together

  This is one of the darkest and disturbing songs ever. Fun fact about this song, Johnathan said right before recording he said "whatever happens,don't stop. Keep going." At the end was actually him crying. When I first heard this song, it bought me to tears. I do appreciate that you try to help someone who has to go through this or triggered by this song.  The world is so fucked up. Mad respect for you reacting to this song. I'm very sorry for what happened to you in the past. I just want to give you and Johnathan a hug.

  As a 42 year old man, who is a survivor of childhood sexual assault, this song was LIFE when it came out. I can't even put into words how much it helped me to hear Jon Davis break the fuck down on this. All these years later, i still jam that whole first album front to back and it always makes me feel better. There was so much going on with that album, its hard to quantify the anticipation of it, and what happened living when it came out. Cool to see younger people react to songs that literally saved my life. I'm sub'ing to your channel

  This poor man, being ignored after telling people your trauma is terrible. Also Aileen and anybody else that has gone through these sort of things deserves love and respect.

  That's the difference between "dark" metal and TRULY dark metal. That's the difference between talking about the devil because is a dark figure, and talking about the real manifestation of Devil himself.
