I remember when I was a toddler back in the late 50's Mum and Dad used to take me walking up the Harrow road (London). Every time we came to this big glass fronted shop window, I just had to gaze in and be mesmerised by this wonderfully shining JAP engined speedway bike... It was a thing of beauty! Very interesting video... Thanks very much 👍👍

For the Brough Superiour it is pronounced "Bruff" not Brow. All us Bruffs came from the Darby/Darbyshire area mainly. Ken Brough, New Zealand. So related to George and William somehow/way back. George built the "Brough" bike (and car). His son William wanted to out-do him so added "Superiour" to the name for his bikes.

Three wheeled vehicles NOT EQUIPPED WITH MEANS FOR REVERSING was the motorcycle exception. Odsal Top speedway, Bradford, was our 'go to' place until the 1960's.

I have a single cylinder side valve, 650 JAP dry sump in my garden. It came off a Howard rotary hoe. Looks nice 🙂

Paul Dupont is looking over one of the Morgan 3-speed prototypes, which she bought directly off the stand at the Olympia auto show in 1931, brought home to America and immediately painted Dupont French blue (it's in Tennessee now, unfortunately no longer sporting the LTOWZ engine shown above). She and her husband owned Indian Motorcycles and they were interested in building a cyclecar for American roads.
