  Of all the people that Rei met... Shinji showed Rei the most gebuine kindness and affection. And that's why Rei ended up rebelling against Gendo in End of Evangelion.

  Armisael is one of the most horrific angels and so few people talk about that. <br> <br>At first it seems like one of the most inhuman angels as a big circle, but its first form resembles a DNA strand. It doesn’t want to puppet a body like Bardiel, it doesn’t want to learn more about the psyche like Arael, it wants to BECOME you, use your own DNA and flesh for its own gain, manipulate others with your face, impregnant you with it&apos;s brethren. &nbsp; <br> <br>It&apos;s ability to merge itself into other people is eerily similar to human instrumentality, but with the added caveat that Armisael is the one in control. There’s even theories that the EVA-0 turning into Rei before exploding was Armisael almost starting the 3rd impact prematurely, which, if true, is so incredibly fked up. <br><br> <br>Armisael deeply understands human nature in a terrifyingly inhuman way. It didn&apos;t get alot of screentime; if it did, NERV would not have won. <br> <br>(btw BANGER video I love this series)

  These videos show me how I have so little media literacy in terms of catching and understanding meanings, underlying connections, framing decisions etc. and holy shit I love these kinds of videos that show me to think, interpret and engage differently with media. Love this series, will patiently wait for the next one

  I &nbsp;heard the “rumor” that you can see Rei’s remains in the entry plug post-explosion for YEARS but I never believed it because the outline of her hand was so slight you would miss it - which, I think speaks to Anno’s genius and creativity for including that detail that the censors wouldn’t catch. &nbsp;<br><br>Thank you for tracing the outline of Rei’s hand. &nbsp;I was so awestruck when I saw that in the video. &nbsp;And yeah, it makes her sacrifice all the more tragic - because she was willing to make the sacrifice - and she was “resurrected” without her consent.

  My GF is a pilot whos suffered similar, but often different things to Rei, this episode broke her, but also, she&apos;s very smart and was able to absorb this beautiful piece of art fully, and we share a love over its meaning

  This might be controversial, but I think she got a happy ending. She found herself, thanks to Shinji and Asuka. But she isn&apos;t human, so she&apos;ll never correspond to our patterns. Still, she gave everyone a great gift. Unfortunately, she, like Yui, forgot to take into account most traumatized people may not want to rebuild anything if they&apos;re given an alternative.

  In my opinion this is the darkest episode in all of evangelion. As episode 22 served to emotionally destroy its characters, mainly asuka, this episode serves to emotionally destroy the audience by just how many messed up events happen not letting you fully process one before another comes.Great analysis to!

  Rei was always fascinating in a way that the other pilots were not. &nbsp;The boy struggled to be a young man. &nbsp;Cool. &nbsp;The loud girl struggled to deal with ugly parental issues. &nbsp;Fair enough. &nbsp;Rei had to keep Instrumentality and her own nature a secret. &nbsp;We got perhaps the biggest clue to the latter when she sortied against Zeruel. &nbsp;The girl got an unprepped Evangelion moving and acquired an N2, by herself and apparently without the command crew even noticing. &nbsp;Heck, she can cry distinct tears in LCL.
