Similar story in New Zealand. A biologist Farmer allowed his property to continue in being covered in gorse weed. He copped the same backlashings as Andrews. Years later, the gorse naturally died away, but it provided the foundation for his property to turn into a flourish of forests, fertile soils and high productivity compared to surrounding properties.

What an incredible testament to perseverance. It takes immense courage to stand by your vision for 30 years when everyone else calls you crazy. This is a beautiful reminder that sometimes nature’s best healers are the things we dismiss as 'weeds.' Looking forward to seeing how this ecological approach reshapes river conservation.

This is natural brilliance. Information like this should be encouraged. Australia wide. No billion dollar investment. But basic use of existing available plants
