I could honestly listen to Stephen talk for hours on end. 43 minutes isn’t enough….. and I’m only 17 minutes in.

It's crazy that Stephen struggled with sleep and now he literally sends hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people to sleep every night. The Harry Potter audio books are the perfect medicine for my insomnia.

As an American I can confirm, we do in fact love Stephen Fry. Hugh Laurie as well, it’s the deep voice and accent. We love the British accent here in the states. Perhaps it’s like hearing our mother’s voice or something?

I love these two men! Found this while watching "Kingdom" this weekend. I'm a Canadian of English and Irish ancestry, and my wife's relatives were from Wallesey, England. I'm so glad that we visited back and forth over the years. We spent most of our honeymoon with her grandmother in Perth, Scotland, where she and her husband had retired to. My wife's grandfather had been a ferry driver across the Mersey from Wallesey to Liverpool (Beatles fans will know the significance of that!).

My wife's father had come over to Canada to work, met her Canadian mother here, and right away they got married in Wallesley. They spent the next thirteen years in India, where my wife was born nine months later, but mostly they lived in Thailand and Indonesia. It wasn't a happy marriage from the beginning but in those days separation/divorce wasn't common. They got free holidays every year, so they could travel to Canada and Britain and many points in-between.

I had spent my youth in rural Ontario and Alberta, and the Irish in me had thought I'd found my lucky leprechaun! Other things in common with these two men? The wife's father was gay and so was I, although my wife and I had a good marriage. Sadly she passed at age 49 from cancer. I came out a year later to our two adult kids, and about three years later I was diagnosed with Bipolar 2 Disorder. It was/is another thing I have in common with Stephen.
