  Im from Adelaide, and I remember him being in the paper from a very young age, especially when he got into uni. His whole family, including his brothers are off the charts smart. I love the fact that he is so humble and encourages all people to have a go at maths, regardless of ability. A real gem of a person.

  Let&apos;s not forget about his brothers too.<br>Nigel Tao is a highly accomplished programmer at Google<br>Trevor got a Bachelor&apos;s in Music, Mathematics (and CS too i believe). He is also an International Master at chess and has won awards for his chess and music.

  My friend in junior school 42 years ago was a &quot;genius&quot;<br>Supra and his brother never played with us in the park.<br>They read the dictionary. <br>Every single night, 365 days of the year, they studied, from birth until we parted ways.<br>I hope he&apos;s well now.<br>IMO, and from what he told me. He was mentally and physically abused as a child.

  This lad is obviously brilliant and so are others like him. Years ago I worked with a guy that was a PHD in science ( specifically light ) he was definitely one of the smartest people I had ever me ( the guy he took over from was also a PHD , but I never found out in what field) . I said to him one time “ you are a clever bloke” , his reply was “ we are all clever just not at the same things “. He was right.
