I worked outside the home for years and years. It was hard juggling everything and trying to keep everything done. Now that I'm a stay at home wife, I'm way less stressed. I actually prefer it over working outside the home. Let's face it, a lot of men even today don't share equally in the household responsibility so women work outside the home and inside the home. If someone comes over and the house is messy, the woman gets the blame. At least that's how it is where I'm from.

It’s funny how, back then, 50% of the dishes in those restaurants were British-style meals. In the Netherlands, they ask if you want sambal and prawn crackers with your meal, but not here. When I go to a Chinese restaurant here in Belgium, they always ask: "Fries with that?" And that still hasn't changed. 🤣😅😂 When I go to a Greek restaurant here in Belgium, the food looks Greek, but they leave out the delicious Greek herbs; you only get salt and pepper. That’s hardly eating Greek food, is it? I could go on like this. It makes sense to tone down the spiciness of the food for Western Europeans, for instance, but omitting herbs entirely just to cater to the local palate? You might as well not bother eating at a place like that at all.

Makes me question how many boxes, tins or frozen products I use when cooking. For instant curry chicken with chick peas and rice. Chick peas come out of a can.
