  As a teen, I probably would have viewed this as corny. As an adult, I cling for dear life to how wholesome videos like this are. I long for the peace that imagery like this evokes

  Like Christmas I remember in Yorkshire in the 70’s, where did old England go….I miss it!

  As a kid of the seventies in the UK country side , I thoroughly enjoyed watching this. I now live in the US, but will likely return upon retirement- I miss it, even though it’s dramatically changed, it’s still home . Happy Christmas all

  As a child (now 70) my mum always plucked a turkey and cooked it during the night.  How things have changed, not for the best in my opinion. Every thing was made, nothing off the shop shelf.  These were joyous times, carol singing with neighbours and everyone was happy. Traditions, cannot beat them. Also turkey tasted different not pumped with water!!. Super memories. Thank you albeit after the event.

  I  am a Yorkshire woman born in the 60’s and I still do these Christmas’s. Good traditional food and drink, traditional simple Christmas’s decs, family time, no electronics from when people arrive to when they go, bar the TV for  the 😮speech, games and gassing and I never have enough chairs. People book for the following year and help out with carefully chosen food items or make them for the table in the traditional way, so I never bare the burden of a huge cost, they never fail to attend! I think many people want an old fashioned Christmas’s at heart! I can never guarantee snow, but do cater for vegan and veggies these days! 😂😂😂😂 ps when I say book, it’s not a business, it’s family, but I always get, see you next year! Just lovely.

  So many things to observe. The over wet cake mixture. A dry cake in old tin foil placed in a rusty tin. The Cinzano plastic pinny. Mulled wine for the kids. Posh voice for the telly. Glorious.
