River monsters ended for a much sadder reason. The rivers were and are dying, which Jeremy wanted to show, but the corpos said, "People don't want to watch that." He also admitted the show was contributing to the death of those monster size fish because people saw what Jeremy was catching and then wanted a trophy of their own. Jeremy eventually got a show that focused on trying to show people what was happening to the worlds biggest rivers, but that show was nowhere near as popular as river monsters. The before and after shots of these rivers are super depressing. They quite literally are dying. Massive drops in water level, severe over fishing, and catastrophic levels of pollution. This all is what Jeremy said himself on why the show ended. He couldn't keep lying to the world about the state of these rivers, and he actually partly regrets making the show.

Jaguars used to range as far north as the Midwest and Pennsylvania. Human activity from both Native Americans and European settlers drove them to the Southwest, with the last Arizona jaguar being killed in the 1920s. The first jaguar to be spotted back in the US was a male nicknamed El Jeffe who was spotted on game trail cameras in Arizona in 2011, and since then more have been migrating into New Mexico and Texas.

Yo just letting yall know, kissing bugs can be found everywhere in except for the far north of the USA, so keep an eye out for cone heads, thin legs, dark bodies, and folded wings.

Aguara is a fox and that certainly isn't one.

The word they were looking for is yaguareté. It does mean what he said though... big majestuous cat with big fangs and claws.

Pronuntiation: Jah-wah-rhe-téh

28:40 This dude's story sounds just like the guys who claim that the shampoo bottle got stuck because they fell on it while taking a shower. In other words, I'm pretty damn sure he was sticking a candiru somewhere nobody has any business sticking anything, and then when the inevitable consequences of his poor life choices became evident, he made up a story about how the fish ended up where it was, because nobody wants to admit to doing something that stupid to the ER staff; I honestly can't think of any other plausible way something like that could have happened.
